How can educators use the images?
Faculty from many disciplines are using the images for research assignments, to create course study pages, to include in their lectures and to create on-line materials. Students are using the image database for study and research, for term papers, and to create collaborative multimedia presentations.

Art and Architectural History faculty use the images to teach the basic survey as well as specialized upper division courses. (Note: The survey images from the CIELO project have been incorporated into the WorldImages database.) Survey courses can be located by clicking on the Art and Architecture icon above and going to the specific survey that interest them.

Elementary and High School teachers are using the database to design projects relating to the California Educational Standards. See portfolio California Educational Standards above and click here to download interdisciplinary Project Suggestions .

Students in Visual Literacy and Multimedia Courses are creating elaborate collaborative multimedia presentations. Click here to see a Powerpoint description of sample student assignments. For examples see http://gallery.sjsu.edu/exhibits/ or click samples below:
