In this composition we see the ka of the pharaoh Menkure supported by two goddesses who serve as his sponsors in the eternity of the gods. All three of the figures seem already to exist in the timeless calm of eternity. Like the goddesses, Menkure shows none of the ravages of age. There are many ka figures from the Old Kingdom, all displaying the same rigid frontality, confidence and calm acceptance.
