"The former Sir John Cheyne of Falstone Cheney, Wiltshire, was created Lord Cheyne after he fought alongside Henry Tudor (Henry VII) at the Battle of Bosworth, August 22, 1485. He rescued Henry's standard. His titles included Master of the Horse, Knight of the Garter, and Privy Councilor."
