"Bennet (1521-1558) was secretary to Cardinal Wolsey and Vicar General to Cardinal Laurence Campeggio, the last Roman Catholic Bishop of Salisbury. The tomb was made before his death. He was actually sentenced to be burnt as a heretic but was pardoned."
