Based on a portrait printed in Montanus's atlas of America, De Nieuwe en Onbekende Wereld, published in Amsterdam in 1671. John Ogilby's English translation of the atlas, America: Being the Latest, and Most Accurate Description of the New World, was published later that year in London.
