Queen Tiye was the mother of Akhenaten (aka Amenophis IV, Amenhotep IV; ruled 1353-1336 BCE). She wears a crown with sundisc, cow horns, and two feathers indicating her deification. The crown had been separated from the head but was rediscovered and reattached in the 1990s. Object shown prior to the rediscovery and reattachment of the Crown of Two Feathers in the 1990s.
