It gives me great pleasure
to have had some part in the exhibition and
the website that introduce the work of a number of Korean feminist
artists to an international public. It is said that we learn from
our students,
and I have learned a great deal. As project advisor for both Linda
Choy,
an art historian who organized the Reconciling femininity and Confucianism
exhibition, and Myung Lee, a designer who created both the Jongmyo
Project video and the joint website, I had the special opportunity
to
learn about the issues confronting Korean women artists as well as
the
issues of international collaboration. Both Linda and Myung went beyond
what is normally expected from a Master?project and created something
of public significance. I am very proud of both of them.
