"No form of practical art is more characteristic of neolithic tribal life than basketmaking and pottery. This handsome example of Hopi wickerwork was made in the Oraibi Village of the 3rd Mesa in Arizona. It was woven with rabbitbrush weft and sumac warp, wrapped with a yucca leaf rim. Much of the original color remains."
