"This plaque from Amarna pictures the Holy Family at play under the protection of the Aten whose long loving beams of light end in hands that touch with blessings. Some hands hold the ìankhî symbol of life up to the noses of the king and queen apparently giving them the highest possible ìbreath of life.î The scene is a remarkable picture of relaxed family intimacy. Nothing like this informality had ever been seen in Egyptian art, nor would it been again. Two daughters are in the queen's lap. One holds out an earring to her sister. The king is giving another earring to another daughter. This hand-carved replica was commissioned by IAD from Carrie Allen of Saskatchewan, Canada. "
