The focal point was the throne of the emperor where he held audience in absolute splendor.
Behind the throne room was another group of buildings on a raised platform which contained the private residences of the emperor and his family. Other areas were devoted to gardens with rocks, trees and small pavilions, in one of which the emperor met with scholars and painters.
