19th c American Vernacular Architecture
The Laramore-Lyman house was constructed without studs in a manner once common in the Sierra mountains of California. Two-inch vertical boards rising to the top of the second storey held up the structure. It was lived in continuously from 1878 to 1975 by three different families.
