Roman Imperial (Trajanic)
The column stood between Basilica Ulpia and Temple of Deified Trajan. Shaft covered with spiral narrative frieze. Square base served as Trojans mausoleum. Once crowned by nude statue of Trajan later replaced by statue of St. Peter (16th c).
