"Cylinder seals were personal possessions made to mark private property. It became a very sophisticated art form. The Sumerian and Minoan seals of the Bronze Age are considered by many to be the best ever engraved. The picture-story of this seal is one of the most common of the era. It is called a ìPresentation Scene.î It pictures a human being presented to a seated male deity by a female deity. The implication is that a blessing is being requested. In short, this seal is a prayer."
