"The pictographs depict the warrior Péhriska-Rúhpa himself in a red-and-black robe or scarf. During an excursion to American territories, the Swiss artist Karl Bodmer (1809-1893) painted portraits of Péhriska-Rúhpa and other Native Americans. Bodmer also painted a watercolor (now held by the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha) of this robe."
