The chess set glorifies Nazi conquests in WW II. The pieces are shaped like weapongs and the text on the border lists the countries that Germany attacked in 1939 and 1940. The set may have been presented in 1941 by SS Commander Heirich Himmler to Aton Musset, leader of the National Socialist Movement int he Netherlands.
