Wycliff was an English reformer who taught a Oxford university. He translated the bible into English, the first of the reformers to do so, and he trained intinerant preachers who became known as Lollards. After his death the Pope ordered his bones to be exhumed and burned, and his followers were persecuted. Later reformers like Luther resurrected his ideas.
