Grisaille cartoon for the interior of the Paris Pantheon commissioned in the wake of the Revolution of 1848. The overall program showed the progress of history according to Hegel's philosophy. The project was cancelled after the coup of 1851 when the Catholic Church retook control of the Pantheon.
