William Wilberforce was one of the treatest social reformers in British history. He was an MP from House of Commons. and his deep religious faith led him to spend his political career working for the abolltion of slavery in the British Empire. The slave trade was abolished in 1807 and slavery itself was abolished throughout the British Empire in 1833. He learned on his deathbed that the vote had succeeded in Parliament.
