(active Classic/ Post Classic c. 200 - 1520)
Most of the stelae in the main plaza including Stela C and F, are monuments to '18 Rabbit' who ruled, according to the hieroglyphic texts, as thirteen in a succession, from A.D. 695 to 738. Collectively the portraits of 18 Rabbit and the accompanying hieroglyphic texts represents the multifaceted public image of a king, projected in Copán's principal civic space.
