Following the conquest of Champa by the Viet the compex fell into disuse and was forgotten. Early 20th century French archaeologists who discovered the site divided the ruins into groups which they named alphbetically. The French began to restore the site in 1937, including the major temple known as A1. Group A was almost entirely destroyed by American carpet bombing during the Veitnam war. UNESCO named My Son a World Heritage Site in 1999. Group G is being restored in 2011.", "Dedication" : "VIETNAMESE|My Son.
